I’ve heard Garth Brooks say this a few times in the past week and a half, as he’s trying to explain what to expect of his concerts.
Before Friday night, I’d never been to a Garth show.

It would have been fair to think there might not be a Garth show at all, after the pouring rain, storm delay and stadium lockdown.

But after the thunder rolled, he did take the stage, after 9:30. (The concert was scheduled to start at 7 p.m.)

He played until just before midnight. And it was epic.
