“TRISHA YEARWOOD WAS THE DIFFERENCE”
Garth and Trisha’s Love Story Unfolds in The Anthology, Part IV: Going Home
The Anthology, Part IV: Going Home is the most personal installment in the anthology series because it details not only how Garth raised his daughters, but also how they welcomed Trisha Yearwood to the family.
From Trisha’s first visit to the little yellow house, which Garth described during his sitdown with Jimmy Kimmel last week, to her decision to limit her touring dates so that she could spend more time in Oklahoma, Garth and Trisha’s love story unfolds through their recollections, family photos, and stories from family and friends.
“So much changed. So much. When Trisha got there, the adventure had really begun,” Garth says.
“At first it was, ‘What am I going to do with these girls?’ As time went on, it was, ‘What am I going to do without them?’” Trisha recalls.
While Garth’s proposal to Trisha at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace is well known, (the life-size bronze statue of Garth that inspired the proposal is at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk), Going Home describes the little-known details of Garth’s intricate plans to pull off the perfect surprise. Included in this collection are photos from Garth and Trisha’s December 2005 wedding at home in Oklahoma, during which the girls and Trisha also exchanged vows.
Memories, milestones, and music—including 182 photos and six discs with songs from this time in Garth’s career—are all contained in The Anthology, Part IV: Going Home, available now at TalkShopLive and Amazon. The Limited Edition, wrapped in a beautiful slipcase, is available for pre-order from TalkShopLive and will ship on February 1, 2025. TalkShopLive also offers a 3-pack for holiday gift-giving and a bundle including Parts I, II, and III to complete your Anthology collection.
About The Anthology Series
The Anthology series spans Garth Brooks’s phenomenal career, as told by the voices of those who made the remarkable journey with him and witnessed history in the making. The band and crew, songwriters, music industry insiders, family, friends, and other collaborators share their stories in their own words, creating what Garth calls “liner notes on steroids.” Combined with Garth’s recollections, these perspectives paint a complete picture of his life and career.
Each hardbound volume in The Anthology series is filled with rare and never-before-seen photos from the vaults and comes with multiple discs of Garth’s music, including previously unreleased material, live performances, demo versions, and his biggest hits.
