Skip the Scalpers: More Indianapolis Tickets Coming Tuesday

Garth Brooks has a message for fans still hoping to see his Blame It All On My Roots Tour in Indianapolis: It's not too late.

Fans who register now at blameitallonmyrootstour.com/indianapolis will receive a private purchase link Tuesday morning when more than a combined total of 1,000 additional tickets are released for Brooks' four Indianapolis concerts. Registered fans will receive both an email and text message at 11 a.m. CST with access to purchase the newly released tickets.

Fans must register at blameitallonmyrootstour.com/indianapolis to receive the purchase link.

AEG and Ticketmaster remind all of us that the purchase link does not guarantee you'll get tickets.

Brooks is making good on the promise he has repeated since announcing the tour: the secondary market isn't the only place to find tickets after they go on sale.

The additional tickets come from production holds that are no longer needed now that crews have finalized the seating configuration for the tour's opening city.

For Brooks, it's another opportunity to get tickets into fans' hands at the original price.

"What I love about this ticket release is it is another way the real person doesn't have to go to the secondary market to come watch the show and sing along," Brooks said.

The size of Tuesday's ticket release isn't unusual for an opening city, Brooks said.

"Indianapolis is the opening city on the tour," Brooks said. "The opening city always has more releases than any other city on the tour because you are never quite sure what your seating manifests are until you put the first city on sale."

The release is part of Brooks' ongoing effort to give fans another opportunity to purchase tickets through official channels at the original ticket price rather than turning to the secondary market.

More than 380,000 fans lined up virtually when Indianapolis tickets first went on sale, prompting the addition of two more performances. Brooks will now play four shows at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Aug. 20-23.

All tickets purchased through Ticketmaster are priced at $154 ($140 ticket price, $4 facility fee, and $10 service charge), plus applicable taxes, with every seat in the house sold at one fair price.
