Over Half a Million Line Up in DENVER - Next Stop...CHICAGO!
After a record-setting kickoff in Indianapolis and Denver, with the two cities totaling eight SHOWS, Garth Brooks just announced CHICAGO as the third stop on his Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour.
Brooks will be returning to Allstate Arena for concerts Sept. 11 and 12. Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster and the Ticketmaster app.
"After INDY, we get the next weekend to recover," Brooks said. "Then it's TWO heavyweight prizefights back-to-back with Denver and Chicago! This will be a true test early in the Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour."
For Brooks, the consecutive weekends in Denver and Chicago represent one of the stretches he's been looking forward to most.
"Whatever your favorite drink and chaser is, that's Denver and Chicago," Brooks said. "Each makes the other one better!”
Chicago has long held a special place in Brooks' touring history.
"Last time we toured in Chicago, that was the city who kicked off the Comeback Tour in 2014," Brooks said. "For 12 years we have waited for this chance to get back to say, 'thank you' and show them how much we LOVE playing there!"
With an unprecedented run of 23 shows, he set Allstate Arena’s record for the most concerts performed there by an artist.
"That's another fun part of doing a RETRO TOUR is you get to go back and play the places that made you," he said.
The Chicago concerts continue Brooks' return to the arenas where many of his biggest hits first came to life. The performances will also serve as the foundation for his new live recording project, capturing history in real time.
Tickets for the Chicago performances go on sale Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster and the Ticketmaster app. There is an eight-ticket limit per purchase. Every ticket is priced at $153 ($140 ticket price, $3 facility fee, and $10 service charge), plus applicable sales tax, with every seat in the house sold at one price. All tickets go on sale simultaneously, with no presales or advance box office sales.
Fans are strongly encouraged to sign in to their Ticketmaster account — or create one — before the on-sale and join the waiting room, so they are ready to enter the queue when tickets become available. The waiting room opens up to 30 minutes in advance. Tickets will be available at www.ticketmaster.com.
