Know Before You Go: Garth Brooks at THAT SUMMERfest

Who is ready for THAT SUMMERfest? A night of scream-sing-alongs with friends to Garth’s career-making hit songs? Yes, please! The memory-making fun starts today, Tuesday, June 16, and runs through tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 17. But before you head to Milwaukee’s American Family Insurance Amphitheater, here's all the information you need to make the most of your night at the concert.

The Thunder Rolls? Maybe. Be prepared.

The American Family Insurance Amphitheater is an outdoor venue. Rain is in the forecast both days, with Wednesday expected to see a greater chance of showers than today. Fans should check the forecast. Umbrellas are not allowed inside the venue.

What time?

The Callin' Milwaukee Tailgate, a country-themed pre-party exclusively for ticket holders, starts at 4 p.m.

Entry is at the South Gate of the Grounds. Enjoy live music, specialty cocktails, cold drinks, festival foods, photo opportunities, artist and festival merchandise, local vendors, and more.

Show Schedule

•     THAT SUMMERfest Tailgate: 4 p.m.

•     Seating bowl opens: 6 p.m.

•     Showtime: 8 p.m.

THAT SUMMERfest Admission Included

Your Garth ticket includes a single-day General Admission ticket to THAT SUMMERfest. Tickets will be digitally transferred to the email address associated with your ticket purchase on the morning of June 18.

Bag Policy per the venue:

To speed up entry, the venue would prefer that guests leave bags and purses at home. However, permitted bags include:

•     Small clutches, small bags, wallets, or fanny packs not exceeding 6 inches by 9 inches

•     Clear bags larger than 6 inches by 9 inches that do not exceed 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches

•     Clear and opaque diaper bags up to 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches for guests with infants

•     Medical bags appropriately sized for their intended use and containing only essential medical items

Not permitted: Backpacks, large non-clear bags, any bag exceeding the posted size limits

THAT SUMMERfest Traffic and Parking:

The venue strongly suggests fans should allow enough time to navigate traffic and find parking. Tailgating is not permitted in Henry Maier Festival Park lots.

For those not planning to drive, several MCTS local routes are within walking distance of the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Fans can also ride The Hop for free and be dropped off at its new stop just outside the grounds. Bar shuttles, rideshare services, and bicycles are also available transportation options.

For those driving to the show, parking will likely sell out, and event organizers strongly suggest pre-purchasing parking for THAT SUMMERfest lots or downtown locations.

Neighborhood parking is also available in the Third Ward parking structures located at:

•     212 N. Milwaukee St.

•     225 E. Chicago St.

THAT SUMMERfest recommends parking at:

•     Museum Center Park Lot, 745 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive

•     Lewis Center, 616 E. Clybourn St.

•     US Bank Structure, 716 E. Clybourn St.

The American Family Insurance Amphitheater is a CASHLESS VENUE.
