GARTH BROOKS AND TRISHA YEARWOOD SALUTE GRAND OLE OPRY’s 5000th SATURDAY NIGHT BROADCAST

When the Grand Ole Opry celebrated its 5000th Saturday night broadcast on October 30, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood closed out the star-studded lineup that included Opry members spanning the generations, including Bill Anderson, Jeanie Sealy, Connie Smith, Vince Gill, the Gatlin Brothers, John Conlee, Terri Clark, Chris Young, and Chris Janson.

Brooks and Yearwood traded songs and jokes during an acoustic set that included "Two Pina Coladas," "The River," “She's in Love With the Boy," "How Do I Live" and "Runaway Joe," as well as their duet "In Another's Eyes." Brooks closed the show with "Friends in Low Places."

Brooks joined what he calls “the greatest family to be a part of” in 1990, while Yearwood was inducted as a Grand Ole Opry member in 1999.
