INSPIRATIONAL T-SHIRTS, LIKE THE ONE GARTH WORE ON “GARTH & TRISHA LIVE: A HOLIDAY CONCERT EVENT,” NOW AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT GARTHBROOKS.COM

All Proceeds Benefit Garth’s Teammates for Kids Child Life Zone Network

Viewers of “Garth & Trisha Live: A Holiday Concert Event” on CBS Sunday watched as Trisha Yearwood pointed out the t-shirt Garth was wearing, which read simply, “Love . . . Will Not Be Cancelled.”  On Monday night during “Inside Studio G,” his weekly Facebook Live series, Garth responded to questions about the shirt and how to buy it.  The result?  The “Love” shirt is now available exclusively in the store at garthbrooks.com for $25. All proceeds will benefit Garth’s Teammates for Kids Child Life Zone Network.

The Story Behind the Shirt

Garth’s Teammates for Kids Foundation currently supports a network of 15 Child Life Zones in children’s hospitals across the country.  A Child Life Zone is a state-of-the-art, therapeutic play area inside a hospital where pediatric patients and their families can play, learn, laugh, and relax.  The Zones are staffed by certified child life specialists, who help children and their families cope with difficult medical challenges through play, education, and self-expression. Child life specialists teach patients about their illness and what to expect during treatment, and they provide support to patients and their families before, during, and after procedures.

During a virtual round table last week with the child life specialists from each Zone, Garth noticed that they were all wearing one of the inspirational shirts and asked for one to wear on the holiday special.  When viewers expressed an interest in purchasing the shirts, Garth responded by turning the sales into a fundraiser for the Child Life Zone Network.  The shirts are available in black or heather blue, with the Child Life Zone Network logo on the back.
