Presidential Inaugural Committee Announces Garth Brooks to Perform at Inauguration

Today, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced that musical artist and recent Kennedy Center Honoree Garth Brooks will perform at the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris Wednesday. Both President-elect Joe Biden and Garth Brook believe strongly that now is the time for Americans to unite, heal, and bring the country together.

Garth Brooks: "There is a common theme in every presidential election: New beginnings, new starts, but it is the word unity, the word love, the word that we belong to each other. It is going to take all of us, what I want for all of us to do is listen. We are more divided than ever, that bridge that brings us together, it is reaching across, loving one another, because that is what is going to get us through the most divided times that we have."

Dr. Jill Biden:
“Joe and I are so honored that Garth Brooks has graciously accepted our invitation to perform at the inauguration. Music has the unique ability to bring people together. Through his music and philanthropy, Garth is a healing and important voice in this country. As all of you know, Garth has made his career focused on loving one another, with Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, we could not think of a better trio of performers to join us at this swearing in.”
