Garth Brooks: Sweet Home Chicago!

Some cities feel familiar. For Garth Brooks, Chicago has always felt like home.

"The crazy thing about the road is sometimes you SWEAR you're the home team!" Brooks said. "That's what it's like playing Chicago."

When Brooks returns to Allstate Arena on Sept. 11 and 12 as the third stop on his Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour, he'll be walking back into one of the buildings that helped shape his career.

With an unprecedented 23 shows at Allstate Arena, Brooks holds the venue's record for the most concerts performed there by any artist. He played four nights there in 1993, returned for eight shows in 1997, and launched his Comeback Tour with an 11-show run at the arena in 2014.

"I've said before, the cool thing about a retro tour is you get to play the cities that made you," Brooks said. "Then you come into a city where they still have the building that holds some of your best memories."

After a record-setting kickoff in Indianapolis and over half a million people in line to buy tickets in Denver, Brooks is making Chicago’s Allstate Arena the next chapter in a tour that celebrates his history-making career.

The Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour brings Brooks' biggest hits back to the arenas where they first came to life. The performances on this tour will also serve as the foundation for his new live recording project.

Tickets for the Chicago performances go on sale Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster and the Ticketmaster app. There is an eight-ticket limit per purchase. Every ticket is priced at $153 ($140 ticket price, $3 facility fee, and $10 service charge), plus applicable sales tax, with every seat in the house sold at one fair price. All tickets go on sale simultaneously, with no presales or advance box office sales.

Fans are strongly encouraged to sign in to their Ticketmaster account — or create one — before the on-sale and join the waiting room so they are ready to enter the queue when tickets become available. The waiting room opens up to 30 minutes before the on-sale. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com.
