Garth Brooks Recalls the “Crazy Comeback” in The Anthology, Part V: The Comeback, The First Five Years, Available April 4

"The comeback tour had started . . . and the ‘crazy’ started with it,” Garth Brooks recalls in the opening pages of The Anthology, Part V: The Comeback, The First Five Years, available April 4 at Amazon and TalkShopLive.  The latest installment of The Anthology series provides an all-access pass to Garth’s record-shattering arena comeback tour that sold over 6.2 million tickets.

To launch the Anthology on TalkShopLive, Garth will host a series of one-on-one conversations with the people who made the comeback with him, starting on March 10.  The conversations will stream here at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on the following dates and will also be a shoppable simulcast on Amazon Live and GarthBrooks.com. The Sevens Radio Network on TuneIn will air the audio live on The Garth Channel and showcase highlights on The BIG 615 and Tailgate Radio.

March 10 - Musicians Mike Palmer (drums), Jimmy Mattingly (fiddle) and Chris Leuzinger (guitar)
March 17 - Author Warren Zanes and singer-songwriter Karyn Rochelle.
March 24 - Production manager Brian Petree and road manager Bryan Kennedy
March 31 - Radio and TV host Storme Warren and sound engineer Mark Miller

The final conversation, with Trisha Yearwood, will stream on the release date, April 4.

The Anthology, Part V: The Comeback comes with 6 CDs and 66 songs, including remastered versions of tracks from Garth’s early catalog, road-tested favorites from Man Against Machine and Gunslinger, and live recordings from the World Tour.  With over 150 never-before-seen photos, The Comeback chronicles the highs and lows of the most challenging time in Garth’s life as an artist, as he found his way back from retirement to a music industry that had changed dramatically.  Embracing new technology, reinventing his music past and present, and creating new opportunities to interact with the people who had waited for his return, Garth paved the way to his fifth and sixth CMA Entertainer of the Year awards.  He learned that the one thing that hadn’t changed was the powerful connection in a live performance.  “The live show, that’s when it’s just you and the people that determine whether your stuff is a success or a failure . . . you’re just going straight to the people.”

Each hardbound volume in The Anthology series is filled with rare and never-before-seen photos from the vaults and comes with multiple discs of Garth’s music, including previously unreleased material, live performances, demo versions, and his biggest hits.
