GARTH BROOKS “NO FENCES” RETRO T-SHIRT AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES STORE STARTING JUNE 3
Garth Brooks continues to celebrate “when the old stuff was new” by bringing back the No Fences tour shirt from 1990. The black retro tee features the No Fences album cover image on the front, while the back boldly proclaims, “I Was There.” Just in time for CMA Music Festival, the vintage tee will be available starting Monday, June 3, in the merch store at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk at 411 Broadway.
Garth developed a loyal fan base through heavy touring following the success of the Garth Brooks album, released in 1989. His schedule included fairs and festivals, clubs, performing arts centers and theaters, and opening slots for headliners including Kenny Rogers and The Judds. With the success of 1990’s No Fences, including four consecutive #1 singles--“Friends in Low Places,” “Unanswered Prayers,” “Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House,” and “The Thunder Rolls”—Garth continued to tour and solidified his reputation as a no-holds-barred entertainer.
“Again, I love the fact that these retro reissues are the people's idea,” Garth says. “What I never guessed was how much joy seeing these shirts again would bring me. When I see the NO FENCES shirt, it brings me back to all those fairs, bars, and early arena gigs...the BEST of times."
Garth will bring back a “new” retro shirt on the first Monday of each month until the end of the year. They are available exclusively at the merch store at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk at 411 Broadway, limit two shirts per customer, while supplies last. The first vintage tee, released March 7 to celebrate the grand opening of FILP, dated back to 1991 and Ropin’ the Wind.
