Garth Brooks Goes Back to the “American Honky-Tonk Bar Association” With Retro T-Shirt on August 5
The next shirt in Garth Brooks’s vintage collection celebrates “American Honky-Tonk Bar Association,” the #1 single from In Pieces. Starting August 5, the collectable retro shirt will be available exclusively in the store at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk.
Garth describes “American Honky-Tonk Bar Association” as “the party song for the workforce” in The Anthology, Part I: The First Five Years. Written by Bryan Kennedy and Jim Rushing, the song raises a glass to everyone whose “paycheck depends on the weather and the clock.”
"This is what I call a 'blue collar anthem'!" Brooks said. "No matter where you go, you'll see the letters AHBA in the crowd. The song's even more fun live!"
Garth will introduce a “new” retro shirt on the first Monday of each month until the end of the year. They are available exclusively at the store at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk at 411 Broadway, limit two shirts per customer, while supplies last. The first retro tee, released March 7 to celebrate the grand opening of FILP, dated back to 1991 and Ropin’ the Wind.
