GARTH BROOKS’ DOUBLE LIVE IS COMING ON VINYL NOVEMBER 6!
Available For Pre-order Now
Garth Celebrates Release with Walmart Live Special on September 21 and Fan Appreciation Pricing
The best-selling live album of all time is being released on vinyl for the first time on November 6!
The vinyl edition of Garth Brooks’ Double Live, the best-selling live album and the biggest selling certified country album in history, is available for pre-order NOW at the fan appreciation price of $14.97. The Double Live package contains two vinyl albums with 25 live tracks recorded during Garth’s blockbuster world tour from 1996-1998.
The new vinyl release will be available with multiple covers--a general release version, plus additional covers exclusive to different retailers. One of those retailers, Walmart, will also offer Double Double Live, a deluxe holiday set with two vinyl albums and two CDs in a package commemorating the 30th Anniversary of Garth’s triumphant Central Park concert, as an exclusive, priced at $19.97. These multiple options and packaging – including colored vinyl in some cases – make Double Live on vinyl a music collector’s dream.
To celebrate the vinyl release of this landmark album, Garth will host a special Walmart Live on Monday, September 21, at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. He’ll deliver live performances and share highlights from his 1998 Double Live television special, when he performed three unique shows in front of a studio audience in three separate time zones (eastern/central, mountain and pacific). Watch WalMart Live here.
“Double Live is really a duets album,” Garth says, “because the people have always shown up to sing! Their voices, their energy—that’s the magic in Double Live.”
Released in November 1998, Double Live made history by selling over a million copies in its first week. Double Live debuted at the top of the Billboard Top 200 and Country Albums charts, and it stayed at the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart for 5 weeks. Currently certified by the RIAA at 25 million, Double Live contains Garth’s best-loved hits recorded in moments of unbridled excitement during his concerts and captures the powerful, emotional connection between Garth and his fans.
“As a fan, what I love about a live album is it takes me right back to that concert and lets me relive that experience,” Garth says. “As an entertainer, what I love about a live album is that it has all the unexpected moments and beautiful imperfections. And I hope it lets people feel and hear some of what I feel and hear from the stage.”
Garth’s Blame It All On My Roots Tour is thrilling sold-out crowds at arenas nationwide, where they’re once again raising their voices in unison.
