GARTH BROOKS ADDS SHOWS IN KANSAS CITY AND SEATTLE
Kansas City and Seattle were originally slated for two Garth Brooks shows each. Now, both cities are getting a triple dose.
Brooks is adding third shows in both locations on his “Blame It All On My Roots” Arena Tour, with new weekend matinees joining the previously announced evening concerts.
Brooks will add a Saturday, Nov. 7, matinee at Kansas City, Missouri’s T-Mobile Center ahead of his previously announced show that evening. Tickets for the newly added matinee go on sale at 10 a.m. CT Friday, Oct. 23. Tickets for the Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday evening shows are on sale now at AXS.com/GarthBrooks.
Seattle, Washington, is getting a Garth Brooks three-peat, too. A Sunday, Nov. 15, matinee has been added at Climate Pledge Arena, following the previously announced Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14, concerts. Tickets for all three Seattle shows go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday, Oct. 23, through Ticketmaster.
The three back-to-back K.C. concerts add another chapter to Brooks’ long history with Kansas City's T-Mobile Center. Brooks' added show brings his total up to 19 shows in 19 years since he helped open the building in 2007.
Seattle and the Puget Sound region also hold their own place in Brooks’ history.
He first played an arena show in the area in 1991, opening for The Judds on their Farewell Tour in nearby Tacoma. He returned as a headliner on his 1993-1994 World Tour, playing Tacoma in the summer of 1993.
Seattle got its turn during Brooks’ 1996-1998 World Tour, when he played multiple shows at what was then KeyArena — now Climate Pledge Arena. He returned to the region on his Comeback Tour, playing three concerts in Tacoma in 2017.
Now, he’s headed back for the first time in nine years.
Brooks says the crowds he’s seeing on the road are part of what makes the Retro Tour special.
“This tour has given birth to the motto ‘diversity in unity,’” Brooks said. “It’s all ages, all kinds, singing EVERY word to EVERY song!!!”
The “Blame It All On My Roots” Arena Tour is bringing the hits back to the rooms where Brooks made history, with the Drum Pod hovering over the stage and towering LED screens known as “the Halo” encircling the 360-degree platform.
Kansas City tickets are $155 ($140 ticket price, plus a $5 facility fee and $10 service charge), plus applicable taxes. Seattle tickets are $155.50 ($140 ticket price, plus a $5.50 facility fee and $10 service charge), plus applicable taxes. Both stops feature end-stage and in-the-round seating, with all seats reserved and every seat in the house at one fair price. There are no presales or advance box office sales, and there is an eight-ticket limit per purchase.
Tickets for the newly added Kansas City matinee go on sale at 10 a.m. CT Friday, Oct. 23, at AXS.com/GarthBrooks. Tickets for the Nov. 6 and Nov. 7 evening concerts are on sale now. Tickets for all three Seattle shows go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday, Oct. 23, at Ticketmaster.com/GarthBrooks.
