Garth Brooks’ 2025: A Year of Heart, History, and Honor

For Garth Brooks, 2025 wasn’t just another year on the calendar—it was an unforgettable chapter in his legendary career still fueled by passion, gratitude, and connection. From emotional goodbyes to record-breaking shows, the Country Music Hall of Famer spent the year proving that his musical bond with the people —and his heart for service—remain stronger than ever.

Vegas Triumph

Garth’s “Garth Brooks/Plus ONE” residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace came to a close on March 9, 2025, after 72 shows in the 4,300-seat theater—selling OVER 99% of all available tickets. “The Caesars Vegas residency has been the best gig we have ever been fortunate enough to have,” Garth said, adding that the Carano family and crew “have both been fantastic.” But it was the fans who made it unforgettable: “The respect they show for the music and one another has been a breath of fresh air for me.”

An Honor for a President—and Friend

In January, Garth and Trisha Yearwood performed John Lennon’s “Imagine” at President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral in Washington, D.C. “I am not sure there can be a greater honor,” Garth said. Trisha added, “The chance to say goodbye and, more importantly, thank you to President Carter… was one of the most powerful moments I’ve ever experienced.”

Full Circle in the Opry Circle

Garth and Trisha Yearwood delivered a standout moment at the Opry’s centennial special in March when they honored country legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette. Brooks opened with “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” then Trisha followed with “Your Good Girl’s Gonna Go Bad,” before the pair joined for the classic “Golden Ring.”

The performance bridged past and present and was rooted in respect and emotional depth. In a night packed with big names, the performance stood out for its reverence and authenticity -- two characteristics that have defined his career.
