The Grand Ole Opry doesn’t officially turn 100 until November 28, but Garth Brooks just gave fans an early reason to celebrate.

On Friday night, October 3, Garth stunned the audience when he walked onto the Opry stage unannounced and launched into “Callin’ Baton Rouge.” The crowd’s reaction was instant—cheers, gasps, and a sea of phones raised toward the famous circle.

Country music’s most iconic radio show — The Grand Ole Opry -- turns 100 on Black Friday this year, November 28. Fans got an early taste of the excitement when Garth Brooks made a surprise appearance during Friday night’s Opry, broadcast live on WSM from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

“The good thing about a birthday party is that sometimes it can turn into a surprise party,” said Opry host Kelly Sutton as she was introducing Garth to the audience. “With over 35 years of membership, he decided he would stop by.”

Dust off your cowboy boots, London—Garth Brooks is headed back your way for the first time in more than 25 years.

Garth, who hasn’t played the UK since 1998, will headline BST Hyde Park on June 27, 2026.

Garth Brooks fans are getting twice the reason to celebrate. Due to overwhelming demand, Summerfest just added a second Garth Brooks date in Milwaukee, giving him back-to-back nights at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

"I can't thank Milwaukee and the sweet folks at Summerfest enough for adding a second show,” Garth said. "To get the chance to play Summerfest is cool in itself, but to get to play it twice is stupid fun!"

Originally announced for June 17, 2026, Garth will now also perform on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
