Garth’s tour attracted over 1.5 million fans in 1997, not including the estimated 1.2 million who attended his concert in New York’s Central Park.  Despite time constraints, Garth once again created an innovative studio album. Pay special attention to the powerhouse performances and significant songwriting on Sevens: summertime anthems “Longneck Bottle” and “Two Pina Coladas,”and Trisha Yearwood’s vocals on the Grammy-winning "In Another’s Eyes."  In addition, there are two life-altering album cuts, “How You Ever Gonna Know” and “Belleau Wood.”

Sevens debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and Country Albums charts, with first week sales topping 896,000 copies, the top-selling debut of any album released in 1997. Garth -- Live from Central Park was the most-watched and highest-rated original program on HBO in 1997, and was nominated for six Primetime Emmy Awards. Garth was named Artist of the ‘90s at the 1997 Blockbuster Entertainment Awards.  “In Another’s Eyes” (the duet with Trisha Yearwood) earned a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1998, and Sevens was named Favorite Country Album at the American Music Awards in 1999.

Sevens  is RIAA certified for sales in excess of 9 million units.
